Dundurn Castle

Last Tuesday, the ESL club brought us to Durdurn castle. The castle looks small from outside but inside,it is huge. There are many rooms and stairs, up and down. It also has servant stairs, especially for servants only and there is also another stairs for the family only.
The person in charge, Christopher showed us around. First, we visit the hallway. He told us the history of the house and the family.....boring!! He showed us more rooms but the most eye catching room is the washroom. You know why?? It is because of the toilet bowl, you have to pull the toilet bowl out from the wall before using it and another bowl to wash your butt. They used water to clean off dirty things since tissue paper is not made yet.
We then go down the basement and there is a really cool entrance. It is like entering a cave in there. You have to go through a dark tunnel to enter a room. In the laundry room, the guy showed us how women dress and he showed us the number of clothes the women have to wear everyday. It total up to 7 pieces of clothing and there was a trouser with big hole in the middle. Guess what is it for? It is for women to pass motion without taking off all the clothes. Very convenient, right? Too bad, every good things comes with a price. Just think what will happen when the wind blow? =)
He also showed us bells, specially to contact the servant and to alert the people a dish is coming up. After showing different kinds of rooms we took a picture before departing back to school.

Wah!! First time I hear you say that a toilet is interesting!!! Eh, aren't our school toilets more interesting?!? I know it looks like any other normal toilet... But have you noticed the green-coloured waves that emit from the toilets itself??? I doubt you would have since you rarely walk into it or right past it...

i think i forgot to mention that the toilet bowl shape is a square,4 pointed vertex and the size is no larger than a cereal box. how could one be comfortable just by sitting on it?
